Graphic Design

Vehicle Graphics

I've worked extensively with vehicle graphics. My favorite wrap to date is the CROPLAN weigh wagon. Its unique angles and overlaps were extremely satisfying to lay out. I also enjoyed recreating my grandpa's farm logo from the 1950s for the restored truck he used on the farm.

Museum Displays

When the African-American Cultural & Geneaological Society of Illinois wanted to revamp their museum graphics, I was excited to work on the project. Photos of historical posters and important figures in African-American history were collaged together to create vinyl wall graphics for various rooms of the museum. I also designed informational signage of different material depth for this project.

I also worked with the Staley Museum to design and produce display pieces for their Chicago Bears historical exhibit. This featured life size standees of football players that required significant photo enhancing and custom cut paths.

Exterior Signage

I design exterior signage with both resilience and visibility in mind. Larger signs also come with their own challenges- they can be larger than a printer or plotter can accommodate. I work closely with the production crew to make sure my files are set up to make production and installation are as simple as possible in cases where graphics may need to be produced in parts and manually pieced together.

Interior Signage

Signage does not have to be boring. If I can dream it, I'll probably try it. Whether it's simple frosted vinyl on a window or a layered, backlit print on clear acrylic- I know how to help an identity make a statement.

Shay-Williams Wedding Signage

I had the pleasure of designing wedding signage for a happy couple. They requested a chalkboard look. I sourced a number of fonts that accommodated their tastes and used a combination of these fonts, my handwriting, stock imagery, and original illustrations to produce the final images.

Identities

There will always be a place in the world for business cards, stationery, and the printed word and I've designed all of these and more. Many times, designing a logo for a client also means designing new letterhead and envelopes to match.
